Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a manageable caseload of clients by effectively establishing rapport and positive working relationships, while adhering to professional ethics and boundaries.
- Conducting regular meetings with clients to monitor progress, discuss stability, and facilitate timely transition plans including discharge when appropriate.
- Developing, implementing, and continuously evaluating person-centered treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Documenting all client interactions, including detailed progress notes and counseling sessions, to ensure comprehensive records are maintained.
- Performing thorough intake assessments to identify clients' mental health needs according to established guidelines.
- Conducting both individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating evidence-based practices to promote mental wellness.
- Participating in regular individual supervision to discuss treatment cases and enhance professional skills.
- Collaborating closely with other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care for clients, particularly focusing on psychiatric and substance abuse populations.

Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily focuses on youth clients who may be navigating various challenges related to mental health, including anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. A strong dedication to client advocacy and an understanding of the unique experiences faced by young individuals is essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Kansas.
- Strong ability to meet internal credentialing requirements in relevant clinical settings.
Preferred Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or individuals in substance abuse recovery settings. Previous involvement in assessment and diagnosis along with individual and group therapy is highly preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and basic computer skills are essential for efficient documentation and communication.
Compensation and Benefits
