Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop customized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
- Facilitate couples and family therapy sessions, working to enhance communication and resolve conflict.
- Provide individual therapy sessions focused on specific client challenges, such as grief, trauma, relationship issues, and personal development.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address issues like separation, divorce, family dynamics, and blended family adjustments.
- Monitor and document client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for families dealing with complex issues, including abuse, addiction, and medical challenges.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive and integrated care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field of marriage and family therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The ideal candidate will work with a broad patient population, including couples, individuals, children, and adolescents. Our clients often present with a range of issues such as communication difficulties, family conflicts, grief and loss, and adjustments to life changes, such as separations and divorce. Understanding the intricacies of family dynamics and providing personalized strategies for improvement is crucial in this role.
Qualifications
- A valid and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building trust-based therapeutic relationships.
- Innate empathy, sympathy, and a nonjudgmental approach to client experiences.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively balance clinical responsibilities and administrative tasks.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with diverse populations and a variety of family structures.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapy methodologies.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting providing family-centered therapy is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
