Work Environment
The remote work setting at Empathic Journey Psychotherapy leverages telehealth technology to ensure that clients receive care that is both accessible and effective. As a member of our telehealth facility, you will utilize various digital platforms to conduct sessions, manage documentation, and communicate with clients and colleagues. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, applying evidence-based practices to accurately evaluate client needs and create personalized treatment plans tailored to their goals.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to provide effective interventions that help clients develop resilience and achieve mental wellness.
- Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and safeguarding client privacy while upholding the highest ethical standards of practice.
- Engage in frequent collaboration with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to create comprehensive care strategies for clients, enhancing their overall treatment experience.
- Facilitate case consultations and peer review sessions, contributing to a culture of learning and continuous quality improvement in client care.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment methodologies, and available community resources, empowering them to navigate their mental health challenges effectively.
- Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in the mental health field, integrating new knowledge into practice to provide cutting-edge, evidence-based care for your clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client base, including individuals from various backgrounds and with a range of mental health challenges. You will support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. The role demands a culturally competent approach to care, recognizing and respecting the unique experiences and perspectives of each individual.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Arizona.
- Proven experience utilizing solution-focused therapy techniques, demonstrating the ability to adapt treatment plans to meet the varying needs of clients.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, which are essential for building therapeutic relationships and fostering trust with clients.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to navigate complex client situations and deliver effective interventions.

Preferred Experience
