Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental and emotional well-being using standardized tools and observational techniques.
- Evaluate clients' needs, issues, and goals to develop tailored treatment plans focused on achieving measurable outcomes.
- Provide individual therapy sessions for clients across various age groups, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma.
- Facilitate couples therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening emotional bonds.
- Develop and adjust personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, reflecting their feedback and progress.
- Maintain comprehensive client records, ensuring timely and compliant documentation of all interactions and treatment updates.
- Engage in collaborative care by consulting with interdisciplinary teams and external healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Respond effectively to crisis situations, providing immediate support and resources to clients in acute distress.
- Remain informed on the latest developments, techniques, and best practices in marriage and family therapy, and actively participate in professional development opportunities.
- Advocate for clients' rights, empowering them to make informed decisions about their treatment while ensuring adherence to ethical and legal guidelines.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client population, including adolescents grappling with identity issues, young adults managing life transitions, and couples seeking to enhance their relationships. Understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by each demographic is essential to promoting holistic healing and positive outcomes.
Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
- Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board, ensuring compliance with all licensing requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in providing therapeutic interventions to individuals and couples.
- Strong skills in the timely completion of assessments, progress notes, and treatment planning documentation.
- Proficient writing and verbal communication skills, with a readiness to learn and engage with electronic health record systems.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and diverse family structures.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and an ability to apply them in practice.
- Prior experience conducting therapy in a virtual setting, effectively managing a remote therapeutic environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
