Walden Diagnostic and Counseling Center is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our expanding team. This full-time position allows for a flexible, remote working environment while providing critical counseling services to individuals at our outpatient offices in Hyattsville, Maryland. Work Environment

The outpatient office setting allows for both telemedicine and in-person flexibility, tailored to meet the needs of our patients and staff. Full-time employees typically work Monday through Friday during 8-hour shifts, while part-time roles can be customized based on team needs and personal schedules—without requiring weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized therapy using evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused short therapy.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to understand client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Facilitate therapeutic sessions for individuals, couples, families, and groups to promote emotional and psychological healing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards to safeguard client confidentiality.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and coordinate services for clients.
- Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training sessions in mental health trends and research.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use issues, and family dynamics. Your ability to connect empathetically with clients from various backgrounds will be essential to fostering a therapeutic alliance and delivering impactful care. Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
- Active and unrestricted licensure as a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a counseling-related role, preferably within a clinical or outpatient setting.
- A strong understanding of legal, ethical, and regulatory standards in mental health practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with a diverse client population.
Preferred Experience
- Specializations in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use treatment.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software and related technologies.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to USD 110,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition to a market-leading salary, we provide a robust benefits package that includes:
