Core Healing Counseling is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Work Environment

This counseling position is designed to be fully remote, enabling flexibility while still maintaining a connection with our outpatient office staff. Although the majority of your work will occur remotely, occasional meetings or consultation opportunities within the office may arise to enhance teamwork and professional interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments and screenings to evaluate patients' mental health needs and design targeted treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling sessions that focus on short-term therapeutic interventions and crisis management for patients facing a variety of emotional and psychological challenges.
• Facilitate therapy groups and workshops, emphasizing themes such as coping strategies, mindfulness, and personal development to enhance patient engagement and well-being.
• Collaborate closely with medical professionals, support staff, and community organizations to ensure that patients receive a holistic approach to their mental health treatment.
• Participate in outreach initiatives aimed at increasing mental health awareness, such as hosting community wellness events and educational campaigns.
• Maintain secure, accurate, and confidential patient records in alignment with ethical and legal standards to uphold patient trust and integrity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on a diverse patient population, including adolescents and adults who present with a wide range of mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Candidates should have a nuanced understanding of the particular challenges faced by patients in a hospital setting and a commitment to advocating for their mental health needs.

Qualifications

• A current and valid state license in mental health counseling, such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Broad knowledge of mental health issues prevalent in hospital populations, and an appreciation for evidence-based practices in treatment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with patients and multi-disciplinary team collaboration.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing a varied caseload and prioritizing clinical tasks.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of professional counseling experience is required, candidates with experience in acute care settings or with familiarity in telehealth services may be well suited for this role. Knowledge of contemporary treatment modalities and digital therapeutic tools is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to USD 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
