Work Environment
This role is fully remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while maintaining active communication with clients and colleagues. You will play a crucial role in an outpatient office model, providing necessary therapy sessions via telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the needs of clients, identifying effective strategies and implementing personalized therapy plans tailored to each individual or family.
- Facilitate therapy sessions, including individual, couple, and family therapy, utilizing various techniques to encourage open dialogue and foster trust.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress, ensuring confidential and accurate records that align with best practices and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to enhance treatment outcomes and share insights that inform ongoing client care.
- Engage in continuous professional development through participation in training sessions, workshops, and relevant courses to stay current with clinical practices and methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The LMFT will primarily work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals and families experiencing a variety of challenges such as relationship issues, mental health disorders, and life transitions. Our organization places a strong emphasis on cultural competence, and you will be expected to adapt your therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs and backgrounds of our clientele.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Active and unrestricted LMFT licensure in Maryland.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing therapy in a clinical setting, showcasing familiarity with established therapeutic techniques and modalities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships that foster a safe, productive environment for clients.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in telehealth or with virtual client interactions, demonstrating proficiency with technology and communication platforms.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and situational approaches relevant to family dynamics and relationship therapy.
- Background in integrating parental guidance and familial therapy techniques to achieve holistic client outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
