Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive, trusting, and therapeutic relationships with patients to foster a safe environment for open discussions.
- Diagnose mental health disorders through comprehensive assessments, utilizing DSM-5 criteria to inform treatment decisions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, preferences, and circumstances, integrating evidence-based practices into your approach.
- Conduct regular therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, and solution-focused methods.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress through routine assessments and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other therapists, for holistic patient care.
- Refer clients to other specialists or community resources when additional support is required for conditions such as substance abuse or co-occurring disorders.
- Participate in weekly team meetings to share insights, discuss challenging cases, and contribute to the overall mission of the organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role as an LMFT will involve working closely with a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, trauma, and family dynamics. You will play a crucial part in helping them navigate their mental health challenges while providing support in improving their overall quality of life.
Qualifications
- A valid LMFT license to practice in the state of Illinois is required.
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is essential.
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting psychoeducational assessments and developing therapeutic interventions based on evidence-based practices.
- Strong therapeutic abilities with a genuine commitment to empowering clients.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with addiction counseling or specialized knowledge in treating substance use disorders is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with co-occurring disorders and the ability to utilize dual diagnosis treatment models are advantageous.
- A track record of effectively engaging clients in the therapeutic process and fostering positive outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
