Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, couple, and family therapy sessions remotely, employing various therapeutic modalities that suit clients' needs.
- Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' relational dynamics, emotional health, and psychological needs, crafting personalized treatment plans based on your findings.
- Implement family systems theory in your practice to explore and address complex relationship dynamics, enhancing communication and resolving conflicts.
- Deliver swift and effective crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring clients feel safe and supported during challenging times.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in alignment with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate psychoeducational workshops, teaching clients essential relationship-building skills, effective communication techniques, and coping strategies that empower them towards greater self-efficacy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams consisting of other therapists, medical professionals, and community resources to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Engage in continuous learning, attending workshops, webinars, and training to stay current with the latest developments in marriage and family therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on clients who seek outpatient care, encompassing a diverse range of backgrounds, including individuals facing addiction, behavioral issues, and emotional turmoil. Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Maryland.
- A master's degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
- A minimum of one year of direct experience in the field as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a commitment to fostering trust and rapport with clients.
- Proficient understanding and application of ethical guidelines and confidentiality practices in counseling.
- A proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to adapt to varied scheduling requirements to accommodate clients' needs effectively.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in outpatient therapy services, particularly with families and children, is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a community health setting or similar environments is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
- A competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
