Work Environment
As a remote position based in Kensington, Maryland, you will enjoy the flexibility of creating your own schedule while building relationships with students and staff in a school environment. Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Conducting thorough assessments of students' mental health needs and developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Regularly monitoring clients' progress and implementing therapeutic interventions designed to foster behavioral and emotional well-being.
- Maintaining meticulous clinical records and documentation in accordance with confidentiality standards and compliance regulations.
- Engaging in multidisciplinary team meetings to formulate holistic strategies for comprehensive care.
- Providing education and support to students, families, and school personnel about mental health resources and coping strategies.
- Staying informed on the latest mental health research, therapeutic techniques, and educational policies to ensure best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents who may be experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, and depression. You will play a crucial role in early identification and intervention, providing necessary support to foster emotional resilience and academic success.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- A valid LCSW-C license in Maryland.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health settings.
- Proficiency in solution-focused therapy and other evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and team members.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess and address complex client needs.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, candidates with additional experience in school-based therapy or familiarity with trauma-informed care frameworks will be given preference. Experience working collaboratively within educational environments and understanding the intersection of mental health and academic performance is highly advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a robust compensation structure, you will receive:
