Work Environment
As a Mental Health Therapist at Privia, you will work in a hybrid setting — primarily from the comfort of your home, alongside occasional in-office collaboration with colleagues. Our outpatient office is designed to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, ensuring that both clients and therapists feel supported. You will work within a diverse team of professionals, including case managers and psychiatrists, who are dedicated to holistic and integrated client care.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties as a Mental Health Therapist will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans that effectively address the unique mental health needs of your clients.
- Providing high-quality therapy services to individuals, families, and groups utilizing evidence-based methodologies, tailored to the diverse concerns presented by clients.
- Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that care is coordinated, comprehensive, and responsive to individual client needs.
- Delivering crisis intervention and support to clients in acute distress, employing both your professional knowledge and empathetic approach to stabilize situations.
- Engaging in community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and fostering a supportive environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our therapists work with a broad spectrum of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, who face various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. This role offers the chance to enhance your clinical skills while engaging with clients from diverse backgrounds, thereby enriching your cultural competence and understanding.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A valid and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
- A master's degree or higher in disciplines such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients.
- A demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to effectively support clients from various backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to ensure timely and accurate documentation of client interactions and progress.
Preferred Experience
While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those who have experience in:
- Working in community mental health settings with a focus on diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits
