Work Environment
This position is designed for a remote working environment, primarily focused on providing social work services within a school setting. As an LCSW at Drop of Life Counseling Services, you will collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and community resources to ensure a holistic approach to student care. Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' mental health and psychosocial needs.
- Participating actively in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
- Working collaboratively with teachers, school counselors, and other professionals to monitor students' progress and outcomes.
- Providing valuable support and resources to families, ensuring their engagement in their child's educational and therapeutic processes.
- Adhering to all relevant federal and state regulations, maintaining the highest standard of ethical practices.
- Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to administer interventions, helping students navigate their emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Building constructive relationships with students and families to foster a safe, engaging, and supportive school environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on students of various ages who may be experiencing issues related to anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and other mental health challenges. You will also work with their families, providing them with strategies and support to better understand and assist their children's needs. Your role is crucial not only for individual students but also in creating an overall healthy school culture.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas.
- Expert knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, particularly for children and adolescents.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, families, and staff.
- Proven organizational and planning abilities, with a proactive approach to managing caseloads and interventions.
- Competency in addressing age-specific or developmental issues for children and teens.
Preferred Experience
While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional experience working within school settings or with youth populations will be highly regarded. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English and Spanish, are encouraged to apply as this will enhance our service delivery to a diverse student body.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
